The African American Studies Program congratulates Samuel Horton, who was named the 2024-2025 University Scholars Program Scholar. Sam is an African American studies major and is on the executive board of the Sankofa Society. The University Scholars Program presents undergraduate students with an opportunity to work one-on-one with UF faculty to pursue fundamental research and scholarly activities and gain valuable insights into how new knowledge is created and developed. Sam will work with our own, Dr. Drew Brown.
