Dr. Canton

Since 2020, I have served as director of the African American Studies Program at the University of Florida. The African American Studies Program started in 1969, developed a certificate in 1971, created a minor in 2006 and a major in 2014. Since 2014, over 200 students graduated with a degree in African American Studies and have careers, in law, education, and finance.
