The African American Studies Program is hiring an assistant professor in a joint-appointed position with the Center for Women’s Studies and Gender Research.  For more information, see jobs.ufl.edu.

Dr. Evan Hart, Visiting Assistant Professor of African American Studies, will return for the 2015-16 academic year.  She will be teaching Key Issues in Black Atlantic Thought (both online and on campus) and Black Women’s Health.

Carline Blanc, a doctoral candidate at a Parisian university, will be a scholar-in-residence in the African American Studies Program during the fall 2015 semester.  She will be conducting dissertation research on Zora Neale Hurston.
