Spring 2019 New Courses

During the fall 2019 semester, the African American Studies Program will offer two new courses.  Dr. Ashley Preston will teach Black Women’s Activism on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during period 5.  The course examines black women’s activism from the period of enslavement to the black power movement.  Also, Ms. Victoria McNeil, a doctoral candidate in the department of psychology at UF will teach Black Psychology on Tuesdays from 4:05pm-7:05pm.  This course examines the major figures in black psychology and the psychological experiences of black Americans.
